Safeguarding

Safeguarding Statement

West Exe Nursery School is committed to safeguarding & promoting the welfare of children. We expect all staff, parents, governors and visitors to share this commitment.

All staff have appropriate training so that they understand their roles and responsibilities and are therefore confident in carrying them out.

We have a duty to refer any safeguarding concerns to external agencies.

Supporting our Families

At West Exe we have a dedicated team of professionals who are here to support children and their families if required. We have close links to Family Support Workers, School Nurses, Health Visitors and many more professionals with a broad range of skills that can offer support to many families.

If you feel that you might need support with any number of situations or just a bit of advice please contact Katharine Pringle, or any member of staff you feel comfortable with. All information shared with staff members is confidential. If that staff member is concerned for the safety of a child and then the appropriate agencies will be informed.
